One of the most important areas of a business is the sector that deals will the pay of the employee’s and the timesheets too. A happy employee is one that is both paid on time as well as paid the full amount that they have worked so any discrepancies in either of these area’s is likely to led to worker unhappiness as well as a loss in productivity as a result and this is something that no business can really afford in these troubles times.

Many businesses still use the old paper timesheets. These basically record the amount of time that a worker has been in the job that day – it will clock the start and end time – and therefore the finance department can then pay their wages accordingly either at the end of the week or the end of the month. The downside to this method is that it is done manually so each employee’s paper timesheets have to be counted up and inspected by hand and this can sometimes (although not every often) lead to mistakes and all the disadvantages that we have mentioned above which usually come with these mistakes. However, using an electronic method can eradicate any human error.

Timesheet software is available for any company and it doesn’t matter which size the business is, what line of work it is involved in or how many people it employ’s. With this software the process of calculating your employee’s wages in relation to the number of hours that they have worked will be done in seconds rather than the long time that it can take when it is done manually. Not only will this help to raise worker happiness as mistakes will be reduced drastically but it also allows your finance department to spend time on other areas of the business as well.
